I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. For most of my childhood, my Grandparents lived only a couple of houses down the street from us. I would spend a LOT of time at their house.

I can't really remember when I started taking pictures, but I must have been somewhere around 10.

This picture was taken at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans.

My relationship with photography, when I was young, was on and off. Mostly on when my PawPaw would ask me if I wanted to go to take pictures with him. In 1997, I joined the United States Air Force and moved away. A couple of years later I purchased a Pentax 35mm SLR. Since I didn't know anyone who was into photography, I didn't stay involved as much as I should. Years later I purchased a Nikon DSLR. My PawPaw said that he would never go digital, because it wasn't as good of quality as film.

In June 2007, Bob Coke passed away, leaving behind his beautiful wife, Bertie Coke. PawPaw would not be where he was, as a photographer, without the help, love, and support of his wife.

They have since closed down The Art Studio shop, but I have kept this site up. It has now morphed into my online studio. I will always keep Bob Coke's pictures on this website.
